Avalon Waterways
Rethought the basic river cabin so you actually face the view.

Overview
Sailing with Avalon Waterways
Most river ships put the bed against the same wall as the window. Avalon turned the layout around so the bed faces the view instead, a small change that makes a real difference in a river cabin.
Good to know
- Panorama Suite cabins on most ships
- Good value in the mid-tier
- Active excursion options
What Makes Them Different
What sets Avalon Waterways apart

The Panorama Suite layout
Beds face floor-to-ceiling windows instead of sitting against the same wall, unusual for the category.
Wider-than-average staterooms
Cabins run larger than most competitors in the same price tier.

A more casual, active onboard feel
Avalon leans slightly more active and casual than some of the higher-end river brands.
The Fleet

Suite Ships
The entire European fleet, including Avalon Panorama, Avalon Envision, Avalon Impression, and more than a dozen sister ships, is built around the same Suite Ship concept: wall-to-wall panoramic windows with the bed facing the view. Avalon runs a rolling renovation program to keep them current, but the core design has stayed consistent across the fleet for well over a decade.
- The Panorama Suite’s floor-to-ceiling window slides open seven feet, turning the whole wall into what Avalon calls an Open-Air Balcony
- Suites average 200 square feet, about 30% larger than the industry standard, and make up 80% of staterooms on two full decks
- A dozen-plus sister ships across the fleet mean strong availability across European river routes
